When a baby is unwell, measurements, feeds and medicine may happen close together. Brief records help you explain the sequence to a doctor later.
If you are concerned about your baby's condition, seek medical help. You can use the notes you already have; a complete journal is not a prerequisite.
Give each temperature measurement its own time
Record the reading, unit and time. Keep the measurement method too; in Pola, it can go in the health entry's note.
Add a later measurement as a new event. Correct an earlier entry if it was wrong, rather than overwriting it with a newer reading.
Describe what you observed
Note symptoms, when you noticed them and what changed later. Keep your observations separate from a diagnosis given by a doctor.

Record the dose actually given
Keep the exact product name, dose with its unit and time of administration. For a liquid, retain the concentration from the packaging if the name alone is not enough to identify it.
Log a dose after giving it. A reminder represents a planned action; a history entry records an action logged as completed.
Set reminders according to the instructions
The intervals offered in Pola are reminder settings, not dosing advice. Use the instructions for the medicine or your doctor's directions.
If Pola warns about a recently recorded dose, check the history and speak with the other caregiver. The absence of a warning does not establish that another dose is appropriate.
Choose the history for the appointment
A Pola Plus report can combine temperature and medicine records with other selected sections.
Temperature and doses on one chart, with the medications listed below.
Pola organizes information you enter. It does not determine doses, interpret symptoms or replace a consultation.
