Pola · iOS and Android
Everything you can do in Pola
From the first feed to notes for a doctor’s visit. See what you can record, how the journal works and what Plus includes.
Plus adds caregivers, more children and PDF reports.
Feeding
Milk amounts and feeding times.
- Record breast milk and formula in ml and see the total. Name your formula and select it again next time.
- Set the interval between feeds, check the next-feed countdown and skip a feed when your plans change.
- Set a daily goal yourself or use an estimate based on weight. You can adjust it; it is not medical advice.
Pola organizes the information you record. It does not diagnose or replace medical advice.
↑ Back to contentsSleep
Use a nap timer or enter times yourself.
- Start and stop the timer. Hide its view while your baby sleeps or cancel the timer.
- Add sleep manually with its duration and end time. The home card shows current or most recent sleep.
- See sleep on a 24-hour timeline, in the daily summary and in the seven-day trend.
Diapers
Wet, dirty or both in one entry.
- Record what was in the diaper. For a wet diaper, choose light, medium or full.
- Add the time and a note. The entry appears in the history and daily summary.
Health, medicine and food
Temperature, medicine given and reactions to new foods.
- Record temperature, symptoms and notes about how your baby feels. Select several symptoms in one entry.
- Add a medicine name, dose and time. Pola shows information about a previous dose; you can set a reminder for the next one.
- Log foods and meals with reactions: liked it, refused it, rash, stomach ache or your own note. Food and medicine names appear as suggestions next time.
- Illness history groups health and medicine entries from an episode. Add a start date, notes and an end; deleting an episode keeps the original entries.
- The health card holds birth details, Apgar score, blood group, allergies, regular medicines and the pediatrician’s contact. It is available offline according to caregiver permissions.
Pola organizes the information you record. It does not diagnose or replace medical advice.
↑ Back to contentsWeight and height
Dated measurements with history and charts.
- Add, edit and delete weight and height measurements. Birth measurements can be saved in the profile.
- Check the latest measurement, change since the last one and the chart over time. Pola uses kilograms and centimeters.
History and summaries
Read a day’s entries and changes over time.
- Choose a date and filter feeds, diapers, sleep, health, medicine, food and other entries. History groups entries by night, morning, afternoon and evening.
- Check totals for milk, feeds, diapers and sleep. The 24-hour timeline places sleep alongside feeds; the seven-day trend shows milk or sleep.
- Add notes and earlier times, edit or delete an entry, or repeat it now. Entry details show the author and when it was added.
- Free has no limit on days of history. Each caregiver’s access depends on their permissions.
Calendar, notes and reminders
Appointments and everyday tasks.
- View a week or month, with upcoming and past events. Add a checkup, vaccination or other event with a place and note; copy it to your device calendar.
- Choose an appointment reminder: at the time, 30 minutes, one or two hours, one or two days before.
- Set one-off, daily, selected-day, weekday or weekend reminders. Pick a fixed time or intervals of 2, 3, 4 or 6 hours within a time window.
- Address a note to a caregiver, add a reminder, mark it done and archive it. Sharing with caregivers requires Plus.
- The notification inbox separates received messages from schedules. Complete a task or snooze it for 15 minutes. Manage active, paused and finished reminders.
Your home screen
Choose the cards and shortcuts you use.
- Show, hide and reorder cards: next feed, daily summary, daily rhythm, growth, trend, sleep, reminders, temperature, appointment, recent entries and goal.
- Choose a default, newborn, tablet or minimal layout. Phone and tablet save separate layouts locally; you can restore the default.
- Set four quick actions, the add-menu modules and three bottom navigation items. Choose summary figures, the trend metric and how many recent entries to display.
- Reuse, rename or remove saved formula, medicine and food names from suggestions without changing past entries.
Children and shared care
One profile in Free; more children and caregivers in Plus.
- Profiles hold a name, birth date, sex, birth measurements and avatar. Pick a preset or use a local photo or video, with cropping for photos.
- Switch between your own and shared journals. Plus lets you keep more than one active journal.
- Invite a caregiver with a single-use code, QR code or link. They can accept or decline the invitation.
- Choose full access, daily care, view-only or custom permissions for history, health card, reports and editing. Enable notifications for other caregivers’ entries.
- Remove access, leave a journal or transfer ownership when deleting your account. Deleting a child’s profile removes that journal for all its caregivers.
Widgets and devices
See the next feed and daily overview outside the journal.
- On iOS, next-feed widgets work on the home and lock screens; the overview widget works on the home screen. Live Activity shows feeding and ongoing sleep on the lock screen and supported Dynamic Island.
- Android widgets show the next feed and daily overview. An ongoing notification shows current sleep or the next feed.
- Pola supports iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets. Widgets and live status are in Free; availability also depends on the device and system settings.
Offline entries and sync
Save without a connection and send changes when it returns.
- Previously loaded history, measurements and pending entries remain available after an offline restart. The health card also works offline.
- A status banner shows connection loss, pending changes or syncing. Retry failed entries or discard them.
- Offline data is encrypted locally. Other devices need a connection to receive updates; without one, they show the last received state.
- Purchased Plus access lasts up to seven days offline without contacting the server. A trial still ends on its scheduled date.
Account and settings
Your data, appearance and sign-in methods.
- Sign in with Apple, Google or email and password. Verify your email and reset your password if needed; link several sign-in methods to one account.
- Export account data or delete your account in settings. Choose to delete journals you own or transfer them to another caregiver.
- Choose Polish, English, German, Spanish or Ukrainian. Units are ml, kg, cm and °C; there is no imperial-unit switch.
- Choose light, dark or system appearance, age format and haptics. On iOS, text follows system size settings.
- Settings include notification channels, a sound test, contact and a usage-analytics switch. Your child’s photos and videos stay on the device.
PDF reports and Pola Plus
Additional caregivers, more children and a report for your doctor.
- Select today, the last 7, 14 or 30 days, a single day or a custom date range. Choose activities, the health card and illness history for the PDF.
- The A4 PDF contains summaries and entries grouped by day. It organizes your records without interpreting results. Reports have a fixed appearance and do not switch language with the interface.
- Plus is available yearly or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. One purchase covers a journal’s caregivers. Manage payments through the relevant store.
- Start the 14-day trial yourself, without a card or automatic payment. A caregiver joining does not extend the journal’s trial.
- Free keeps working after Plus expires. Choose one journal to continue updating; additional journals keep their history available to read.
