Shared care can leave information spread across conversations, messages and memory. One journal makes recent feeds, ongoing sleep and recorded medicine easier to find.
Sharing is a Pola Plus feature. Another parent or caregiver joins the baby's journal using their own account.
Invite a caregiver and choose access
Go to More › Caregivers. Choose Full access, Daily care, View only or Custom permissions.
Daily care provides information for day-to-day care without access to the full history. Check which records and actions each person can use.
Caregivers live under More, in the Baby section.
Agree who records each event
A simple rule is for the person who carried out the action to log it. Record the amount actually drunk for a bottle, the type of nappy changed and the dose actually given for medicine.
Initials beside entries identify the author. The details also show “Added by”, so you know whom to ask about an entry.
The initials next to each entry show which caregiver added it.
Check recent entries when handing over
Discuss anything missing from the journal: an unlogged event, an approximate time or an agreed next step. A medicine entry should represent administration, not a plan.
Notifications about another caregiver's entries are optional. They do not replace checking the history and communicating directly.
Offline changes arrive after syncing
Pola supports offline logging, but sharing changes between phones requires internet access. Until they sync, another device has the last state it received.
Pass on important information directly while offline, especially about medicine already given. Check syncing when the connection returns.
What stays free
Pola Free includes the everyday journal for one baby and one caregiver, without ads or a history limit. Plus adds sharing, additional babies and PDF reports. One Plus purchase covers caregivers of that journal.
